Day 3 - Favorite Things

I have so many things to be thankful for in my life.  I have many great friends and family members, I have an ever-increasing group of friends met online who share a lot of the same ideas and ideals that I do, and I have a shit load of crap that I don't need... Seriously.

First off let me start by saying that as I grow older I am starting to realize that my need for all of these inanimate things is just ridiculous, and have been weeding out stuff I don't need in preparing for the move.  However in saying that, there are certain things that I could NEVER get rid of!!!  I am going to name my top ten favorite things, that I could NEVER get rid of.  When I started to think about what the ten items would be I realized that some of them aren't going to necessarily be specific things, but a broad selection.  I digress.  The following are in no specific order.

My MacBook Pro is one of my most prized possessions.  As a child I had several computers, all of which were PC's and had Windows OS.  I ALWAYS wanted to own a Mac computer.  Later in life, I believe I was 19 or 20 at the time, my mother bought me this amazing computer.  After having it for so long I could never purchase something different.  The CD/DVD drive in my pro is actually gone now so someday soon a MacBook or iMac will have to be purchased ;)  Hint, hint mother dearest.  Lots of holidays next year!

My iPhone!  If you can't tell yet, I have converted religions and my new religion is Apple.  Anything Apple is where it's at.  My iPhone does everything, and though it is an old, 3GS, it is still the best phone I've ever owned.  (I've owned three different ones identical to this.)

Josh decided to go to sleep at 9:00PM, and so I wasn't able to get a picture of the actual blanket.  When I was 14 my father bought me a Harry Potter blanket.  I have had it ever since and it is my FAVORITE.  I have acquired several different fleece blankets over the years, but this one has always been my favorite.  I think it's because my dad got it for me! <3

So I could care less what anyone else thinks, I know for a fact that Marijuana helps with anxiety.  I have been suffering with anxiety my whole life basically.  I first started experiencing anxiety attacks when I was thirteen, and have been having them regularly ever since.  About a year ago I started experimenting again after years of not using it, and found that it worked!  I think it is ridiculous that because of law set a million years ago, I am begrudged this sweet fix to a shitty illness.  Also -- this is the first bong I ever bought for myself, I love her!

Mind you, this is not a picture of an airplane, but one thing I looooooove to do it travel.  I have not been to too many places, Texas, Mexico, Mass., Maine, and Toronto, Ont.  Oh, and of course all the places local to where I live.  Nova Scotia, P.E.I., and New Brunswick.  So lets count shall we, I have been to most of them!!  The only provinces I haven't been to yet, if you count the one's I will be on throughout the upcoming trip, are Saskatchewan, B.C., Quebec.... ok I'm getting confused.

B.C.
Alberta - check.
Saskatchewan
Manitoba - check.
Ontario - check.
Quebec - Check
New Brunswick - check.
Nova Scotia - check.
Prince Edward Island - check.
Newfoundland and Labrador
Yukon - eff you coldness.
N.W.T. - eff you coldness.
Nunavut - eff you coldness.

There you have it, my complete list.  You may notice that I have noooo interest in visiting any of the territories.  I am a wimp in the cold, I don't even know how I am going to handle Alberta.  Why couldn't my family be American????

I am so gay.  My two FAVORITE artists in the world are Rihanna firstly, and Lada Gaga.  I have been listening to Rihanna since she first started making music, and own every cd she has ever released.  I love her sound and all of the music that she puts out.  To this day there has not been a song that I haven't liked.  She is just amazing.  Lady Gaga I actually started to get into a little more recently... she is just amazing and I can't believe it took me so long to catch on.

Beyond these two artists, I love ALL music.  I listen to all genre's with the exception of heavy metal and opera.  Music is an addiction of mine and without it, I am pretty sure I would go crazy.

As I said in a previous post, this movie has become somewhat of a sick obsession for me.  I have literally had it repeating on my television since the day my friend, Lee-Ann, gave it to me.  I am watching it right now!

Beyond this movie however, I am a fan of all movies, and a lot of different television.  I LOVE the Simpsons, and almost any reality show.  They are fantastic.

The internet!!!!  I have been an avid internet addict since I got my very first computer all those years ago.  I remember being on dial-up internet and wanting to slit my wrists every time I had to use it.  I remember a little later when the first generation of high speed internet came out in my area and we were able to get it.  I was on that shit with a fever and quickly, my mom obliged.  I still remember they'd called this new version of higher speed internet, MPower.  With the speeds we have now, using the internet to do almost anything is a sinch. In short, the internet has been a love of mine for years!

In case you think I don't realize, I know I am reusing a lot of the same pictures as in previous posts... I just think it's easier since they are relevant!

This picture of my nephew, Kemper, represents my family.  They are the most important people in my life and without them I wouldn't be me!  I am going to miss them when I venture out west, but I am excited at the prospect of making them a little more proud than I've been able to up until this point.  :)

Next to my family, and maybe more so in a lot of situations, my friends.  This picture is from years ago, of myself and my best friend, Lee-Ann.  My friends have become a crutch in my life, and the true ones I've met throughout the years, mean more to me than I could describe in words.  They are fantastic people and are there for me 100% of the time.  Lee-Ann especially.

Well, there you have it!  Exciting stuff huh?  I am somewhat sentimental, or a lot sentimental I'm not sure.  In any case, these are my ten favorite things!  I hope you enjoyed the read, and if there are any typos let me know ;)
